Disclaimers & Such

Feeling everything to its fullest extent is fine, but perhaps it is best to let the hard times lie a little quieter.

I have written a few posts during some of my most anguished points, so I just want to say that such posts are not truly indicative of my outlook on life, the true way things are, or any such thing.  The flip side of my love for living life to the fullest, no matter how I feel, is that I sometimes sound worse off than I really am.

I have chosen not to remove what I have written when I was down or struggling, as I think that the capturing of hard times is just as important as capturing the sweetest, most beautiful moments.  However, I just want to say that those posts are more like poems, not photographs.  They stylize, they exaggerate, they dramatize.  I stylize, exaggerate, dramatize.  I don't meant to drag anyone down, or to be a thundercloud.

My overall outlook on life is extremely fluffy.  Among those who know me, I am typically somewhat of a little-miss-sunshine.  My issue, however, is that I am a drama queen, a romantic, and I find feelings of every kind to be beautiful in their own way.  In that light, I throw myself into every sob, every tear, every cry just as intensely and with as much abandon as I fly with every bubble of laughter, every burst of dancing, every cartwheel.  So please, take my complaining and whining with a grain of salt.  I'll try not to let it happen to often.

The net gain is always positive.  In hindsight, even the times I was hurting most are beautiful and make some kind of sense.

The second part of my disclaimer refers to the pictures I have scattered throughout this blog.  I am working on my photomanipulation, but I am nowhere near skilled enough to produce the kind of beauty that captures my feelings like what I glean from various artists across the internet.  There is probably something illegal about my using them around my site, and I really do apologize.  However, I don't intend to make any money or profit off of this blog, simply to express and practice my writing, and to capture emotions.  I use the art I do because it inspires me and is full of meaning for me, and for no other reason.

If you happen to see something of yours that you want taken down, please let me know.  Many of the avatars I have used come from public sites or from people who have given some form of permission for their use, but others are pictures I have had saved in a folder to sigh and smile over for years.  As a result, some may be an issue.  I mean no disrespect and will make amends to any post if necessary.

I have used many, many images made by the wonderful folks at Narniaweb.com, many who whom are incredibly talented artists who make avatars/banners that they are quite nice about sharing, so long as credit is given.  Others come from iconatar.com and arwen-undomiel.com.  The rest are a completely random scattering of images that have inspired me.

Aaand I think that's it.

Oh, and this blog is, once again, not for profit, not for views or popularity or attention.  I keep it mostly because I enjoy having a little corner of the web to harbor my writings, as a hobby.  If you want to offer input on my writing or anything, feel free, but if I am offensive in any way, I don't mean to be and I am terribly sorry.  If you take the time to read anything in this random little space, kudos and thanks.  If not, also kudos and thanks.  Just enjoy your life, and do what makes you happy.

Best,
Elsendor
